The Write Stuff is not just a typing service. Unlike other CV services, we don't just retype your information, Â we tailor your CV to suit you and ensure that it actively sells you to potential employers. We compile your CV according to your individual circumstances, and take care of all the presentation, content and layout, using our own in-house templates which have a proven record of success. Once your CV is complete, we can also retain a copy on file for future updates and amendments.
We also offer a range of different service levels to cater for individual requirements.
CV Appraisal
Not sure if your CV is up to scratch? If you really want to know whether we can add value, send us a copy of your existing CV. If you want expert guidance on tweaking your CV then for a small fee we will carry out a brief appraisal of your CV by telephone or email, highlight any problems and advise on any simple improvements you can do yourself.
​Personal/Zoom Consultation
A full consultation either in person or via Zoom which can be up to 2 hours in duration. This allows a detailed discussion about your skills, and a thorough exploration of your career aspirations and experience.
CV Makeover
Think your CV is OK? Maybe you have the knack of selling yourself on paper and don't feel the need to completely revise your CV. The CV Makeover is a good way of letting us refine and polish your existing CV without the expense of full CV Compilation. Please note that this option is only a reworking of your existing CV and is only suitable if your CV is above average to begin with. We would need to take a look at your current CV to determine if this option is suitable for you.
Application Forms
If you are struggling with those awkward job application forms which require a personal statement or answers to criteria-based questions, we can help. We have years of experience in dealing with these kind of applications. Prices for this service can vary depending on the amount of input required. Just send us the details of the job you are applying for or give us a call, and we will be happy to provide a quotation.
UCAS Applications
Most university applications in the UK are now processed via UCAS (the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). Part of the application involves writing a personal statement. We can advise on what information should be included and assist in preparing the statement for you. Please note that this is a bespoke service. Please call for a quotation.
CV Compilation
For a really professional CV, you need full CV Compilation using one of our own layouts. We recommend appropriate layouts from our portfolio of original in-house templates and take care of wording, formatting and presentation.

It is possible to arrange a short 30 minute consultation by telephone in conjunction with sending us your existing CV by email, to provide some clarification or further details.
Cover Letters
Just as important as the CV itself, a professional cover letter can make all the difference to your job search. We will be pleased to compile a bespoke cover letter along with your CV, whether it is a generic (basic) letter to accompany your CV for multiple applications or a specific (targeted) letter for a one-off vacancy.

LinkedIn is a powerful tool for networking and career development, and can be harnessed to assist in your job search. You can keep in touch with your colleagues, customers and wider professional network. With a professionally written profile, LinkedIn can help you keep abreast of where the jobs are and act as a shop window for your potential employers.
